The Lagos Sanitation Region Coordinators Conference of 2024 commenced with a family red carpet event, setting a vibrant tone for the gathering. All Lagos region coordinators were in attendance, ready to engage and learn from the day’s sessions.

Opening Remark

Pastor Femi Kayode, the Lagos Region Coordinator, welcomed the attendees with an inspiring message. He emphasized the importance of adhering to the teachings of the conference, highlighting that the seminar was initiated by a directive from the national COORDINATOR, PASTOR  ABDULLAHI. 
The key objective is to train members in the rules and ethics of sanitation, aiming to enhance their performance and representation as sanitation ambassadors.
Welcome Speech:  
Pastor Mrs. Aderotoye, the National Admin Coordinator, delivered a welcome speech on behalf of the National Coordinator, Pastor ABDULLAHI.  She conveyed greetings from Pastor Abdullahi and encouraged the coordinators to remain steadfast in their service to God despite the demanding nature of their work. She reminded them that their efforts are valuable and must continue unabated.
 
 Lecture Sessions: 
 
**Lecture 1: The Rules that Govern Sanitation**
– **Speaker:** Pastor Segun Omotosho, Pastor in Charge of Province 47
– **Key Points:**
  1. **The rules that govern your Assignment:** Emphasized the unique and special nature of sanitation work, citing Exodus 29:36.
  2. **Knowing What It Takes:** Highlighted the need to comprehend the requirements of sanitation tasks, referencing John 6:28.
  3. **Guarding One’s Territory:** Stressed the importance of careful and diligent service in one’s assigned area.
 
Pastor Omotosho shared personal anecdotes, illustrating the significance of cleanliness and dedication, and reinforced the spiritual and practical dimensions of sanitation duties.
 
**Lecture 2: The ethics of materials **
– **Speaker:** Pastor Korede
– **Key Topics:**
  – **Modern Sanitation Skills and Ethics of Materials Management:**
    – **Safety:** Avoid using harmful materials like nylon for food collection.
    – **Economy:** Advocate for efficient use of materials to prevent wastage.
    – **Efficiency:** Stress the need for effective management for optimal performance.
  – **Best Practices in Sanitation:**
    – Proper techniques for handling and using sanitation tools to prevent accidents.
  – **Demonstration of Modern Gadgets:** Pastor Korede showcased contemporary sanitation tools, emphasizing practical skills and competence.
 
Pastor Korede’s session was highly interactive, involving live demonstrations to help members grasp the application of modern sanitation technologies.
 
Conclusion
The conference successfully provided a platform for the Lagos region sanitation coordinators to deepen their understanding of sanitation practices and ethics. The speakers’ insightful lectures and practical demonstrations equipped the attendees with valuable knowledge and skills to enhance their roles as sanitation ambassadors. The event concluded with a renewed commitment from all coordinators to uphold the standards of sanitation within their respective provinces.
The conference ended on the joyous mood as the whole Lagos region merry together as one.
