The RCCG National Sanitation Department held a management meeting with Provincial Coordinators and Unit Heads under the leadership of Pastor Tunde Abdullai, the National Head of Department. The meeting focused on reviewing performance during the Holy Ghost Congress 2025, addressing operational challenges, and setting strategic directions for future activities.
Key Deliberations and Resolutions
1. Appreciation and Commendation
Pastor Tunde Abdullai expressed his heartfelt appreciation to all Provincial Coordinators and Unit Heads for their dedication and commitment, which contributed significantly to maintaining a clean, serene, and orderly environment throughout the Holy Ghost Congress 2025.
2. Performance Review and Areas for Improvement
The HOD noted that while many coordinators performed excellently, some exhibited nonchalant attitudes toward their responsibilities. He emphasized that improved commitment and professionalism are expected from January 2026 Holy Ghost Services onward, with special focus on delivering excellent performance during the March 2026 Special Holy Ghost Service.
3. Volunteer Registration Process
It was resolved that henceforth, volunteer registration will take place strictly upon arrival at the camp. This measure is to ensure accurate documentation, proper monitoring, and effective checks and balances in the department.
4. Policy on Underage Participation
The HOD firmly stated that underage registration will no longer be tolerated. Due to the health risks associated with ammonia and other sanitation chemicals, children are prohibited from participating in sanitation duties. This policy is aimed at safeguarding their health and immune systems.
5. Annual Conference Planning
A planning committee will be constituted to organize the Annual Sanitation Conference, which will be scheduled for a date outside the month of December. The conference will focus on improving work efficiency within the department and introducing modern sanitation practices.
6. ID Card Matters
All Provincial Coordinators were directed to liaise with Pastor Lanre Agbadaola to resolve all outstanding ID card issues. Coordinators must ensure that all outstanding payments are settled and that printed ID cards are properly distributed. Failure to pay for printed and collected ID cards will attract strict disciplinary actions.
7. Transition to Paperless Registration
The department announced its transition to a fully digital, paperless registration system. To support this initiative, five (5) laptops have been procured to facilitate efficient and accurate digital registration processes.
Conclusion
The meeting concluded with a renewed call for dedication, discipline, and excellence across all levels of the National Sanitation Department. The HOD encouraged all leaders to fully align with the new policies and operational standards to enhance effectiveness and safety in all sanitation activities.
