Welcome to our special coverage of the July Holy Ghost Service, held on July 5, 2024, at Redemption City. This month’s theme, “Refuel Your Fire,” promises to reignite our spiritual fervor and prepare us for the upcoming Annual Convention.

In this edition, we highlight the crucial role played by the Sanitation Ministry in ensuring the event’s success. The service was a precursor to the upcoming Annual Convention themed “Heaven,” slated for August 5 – 11, 2024. Your dedication and hard work behind the scenes reflect the spirit of excellence that defines our community.

Theme: Refuel Your Fire

SERMON SUMMARY

1. Introduction to Refueling Your Fire

Pastor E.A. Adeboye emphasized the importance of continually rekindling our spiritual fervor. Drawing from Exodus 15, he explained that just as physical fire requires constant refueling, our spiritual fire must also be regularly maintained to remain effective and vibrant.

2. Insights from Paul on Practical Christianity:

Refuel Your Spiritual Life: Just as a vehicle needs regular refueling to continue its journey, we too must continually refuel our spiritual lives. Engage in constant prayer, fasting, and studying the Word to keep your spiritual fire burning brightly.
Applied Christianity: Learn from Apostle Paul, who taught that while we are seated in heavenly places with Christ, we must still run our earthly race with diligence and perseverance. Let us apply our faith practically in our daily lives.

Pastor Adeboye highlighted lessons from the Apostle Paul, noting his dual emphasis on our heavenly position and earthly responsibilities:

Heavenly Seated: Ephesians 2:1-6 teaches that believers are seated in heavenly places with Christ.
Ongoing Race: Paul encourages believers to keep pressing on toward the goal (Philippians 3:13-14).
Enduring Sufferings: Despite hardships, Paul remained focused on finishing his course (2 Timothy 4:6-8).

These teachings remind us that while we have a secure position in Christ, we must actively live out our faith daily.

3. Why We Must Refuel

Continuous Victory: Like David, who faced battles after each victory, we must keep our spiritual fire burning to confront new challenges (1 Samuel 17:34-51).
Life’s Degrees: Life and spiritual experiences come in degrees, and our goal is to seek more abundant life and greater spiritual heights (John 10:10).
Promotion: Regular refueling leads to progressive promotion, as seen in David’s journey from shepherd to king (1 Samuel 16:11-13, 2 Samuel 5:1-3).
Increasing Brightness: Our spiritual brightness can increase, allowing us to shine brighter and impact more lives (Proverbs 4:18).

Prayer: “Thank God for His continuous blessings, including the salvation of your soul, health, and provision.”

2. Fresh Anointing:

Prayer: “Ask for a fresh anointing of the Holy Spirit.”

3. Convention Success:

Prayer: “Pray for the success of the upcoming Annual Convention.”

4. Sustained Fire:

Prayer: “Seek God’s help to keep your spiritual fire burning.”

5. Protection and Guidance:

Prayer: “Pray for protection and guidance for yourself and your family.”

6. Greatness:

Prayer: “Ask God to make you so great that every enemy will be under your feet.”

7. Equipping for Service:

Prayer: “Pray for God to equip you more so that you can serve Him better.”

8. Heavenly Experience:

Prayer: “Pray that this year’s convention will be absolutely heaven on earth in every way possible.”

Prayer: “Present your personal prayer points to God.”

Prayer: “Pray for Pastor E.A. Adeboye and his family.”

H.O.D/Sanitation Leaders’ Meeting

Sanitation Ministry’s Impactful Participation

The July Holy Ghost Service also featured significant contributions from the RCCG Sanitation Ministry. Under the dedicated leadership of Pastor Tunde Abdullai, the National Head of Sanitation, the ministry ensured a clean and conducive environment for worship.

Key Highlights from the Sanitation Ministry:

Pre-Service Preparations:
- Thorough cleaning and sanitation of the Redemption City facilities.
- Strategic placement of waste bins and cleaning supplies across the venue to maintain cleanliness throughout the service.
Real-Time Maintenance:
- Deployment of sanitation teams to monitor and maintain cleanliness during the service.
- Immediate response to spills and waste management to ensure a hygienic environment for attendees.
Post-Service Cleanup:
- Efficient and swift cleanup operations to restore the venue to its pristine condition.
- Recycling and proper disposal of waste materials in line with RCCG’s environmental sustainability goals.

National Sanitation Coordinators Meeting Report

During the Holy Ghost Service, a National Sanitation Coordinators meeting was convened, presided over by Pastor Tunde Abdullai. The meeting focused on the following:

Commendation and Motivation:
- Pastor Abdullai lauded the unwavering dedication and professionalism of sanitation teams nationwide.
- Emphasis on the pivotal role of the sanitation ministry in upholding the church’s standards of cleanliness and excellence.

- Assurance of God’s continued favor and protection over those who diligently serve in the sanitation ministry.
